About Me
I bring a lot of experience to the table, doing a wide variety of things. After attending the University of Denver (over 20 years ago!), I moved to Aspen to have fun, ski, and enjoy the town. That's when my love affair with Aspen began.
I left Aspen to pursue a "real career" in Chicago, Minneapolis, Memphis, NYC...only to realize this is where my heart is and why did I ever leave? I appreciate the work experience gained, but the good life lived is best lived here (in my opinion). Aspen is a magical place. The people I meet here are incredible, passionate, smart and fun locals who work hard to stay here. I can appreciate that desire. Hopefully, my website HireMeAspen.com will help the locals live their dreams.
Finally, I am an extremely honest, spiritual, hard-working, kind-hearted and fun-spirited individual who tries, sometimes unsuccessfully, to treasure every moment by living life to its fullest.
Experience
I've had the pleasure of working in numerous positions over the years in the sales, marketing and advertising fields. During my first two years in Aspen in the late 80s, my work experience ranged from ski instructor to waitress to real estate assistant to the marketing manager at The Snowmass Club. Since then, I've lived and worked in Chicago, NYC, Memphis, and Minneapolis. I've been a newspaper reporter, a print sales rep, and an ad agency owner. These past 8 years, I was Director of Media Sales for Dow Jones, licensing content to all the top US media sites (NYTimes, CNN Money, CBS, WSJ, Washington Post, USA Today, etc.) All of this experience comes into play as the founder of this website, HireMeAspen.com, my most rewarding undertaking thus far. My number one goal has been and will continue to be to help the hard working locals in the valley.
